Bruce
Thank you for visiting my photo gallery.

I am a computer programmer by trade but have had photography as an avocation for many years.

In photography, I worked primarily in black and white for a couple of years before moving on to color transparencies. A number of the pictures currently on this site were scanned from slides or negatives taken with my trusty Pentax Spotmatic. My 'normal' lens was a 135mm with the occasional use of a 50mm Macro lens or an 18mm Fisheye lens.

I took my time moving to digital photography, but have now been doing it for around 10 years. I am currently using a Canon 5D Mk II. To process and keep track to the photographs I have been using Adobe Lightroom, which is a great tool. I also use Adobe Photoshop when necessary.

Most of my photographs have been landscapes or close ups of patterns that I find interesting. Lately rust and water are what catches my eye. I have also been experimenting with what I call "phomontas" (or photo mosaics), where I duplicate an image and stitch it back together. I like the patterns and symmetry that it produces.

I've been a member of the Willits Photography Club for the last year and had several photographs in the annual show in November at the Willits Art Center.

If you would like to email me, I can be reached at bruce@bhphotographics.com.
